Vikramshila Setu is a major road bridge built over the Ganga River near Bhagalpur in Bihar. It connects Bhagalpur with Naugachia and provides an important transport link between northern and southern Bihar. The bridge was inaugurated in 2001 and is named after the ancient Vikramshila University located nearby. Vikramshila Setu plays a crucial role in regional trade, travel, and daily commuting. It significantly reduced travel time and improved connectivity to northeastern Bihar and neighboring states. The bridge offers scenic views of the Ganga, especially during sunrise and sunset. It is one of the longest river bridges in Bihar. Vikramshila Setu stands as a symbol of modern infrastructure linked with ancient heritage.
