Hoshang Shah’s Tomb is a landmark medieval mausoleum in Mandu, Madhya Pradesh, built in the early 15th century to honor Sultan Hoshang Shah, the first independent ruler of the Malwa Sultanate. Considered one of the earliest examples of marble-clad Islamic architecture in India, the tomb features a perfectly proportioned dome, arched entrances, carved stone screens, and a harmonious layout. Its refined design is believed to have influenced later Mughal architecture, including the Taj Mahal. Set within the historic Mandavgarh complex, the tomb stands out for its elegance, symmetry, and architectural innovation, making it a key heritage site for history and architecture enthusiasts visiting Mandu.
