Senvawn is a Hmar village located in Pherzawl district in the northeastern Indian state of Manipur. According to the 2011 Census, Senvawn has a population of about 3,136 people and comprises 498 households. Geographically, Senvawn lies on the Senvon (or Senvawn) Range — a north‑south ridge — with the eastern bend of the Barak River flowing nearby between Senvawn’s range and the adjacent Vangaitang range. Senvawn is historically significant: it is recognised as the “birthplace of Christianity in Southern Manipur.” In 1910, a Welsh missionary, Watkin Roberts, brought Christianity to the local Hmar and related tribal communities in this village.
