Phu Lien Meteorological Station, known locally as Trạm Khí tượng Phù Liễn, is a historic weather observatory located on Dau Son Hill in Kien An District, Hai Phong City, Vietnam. Established in 1902 during the French colonial era, this iconic meteorological station sits at approximately 116 m above sea level and is recognized by the World Meteorological Organization as one of the few operational weather stations in the world that has been continuously active for over a century. Serving as a central hub for weather data collection, forecasting, and climate research in northern Vietnam, Phu Lien plays a crucial role in monitoring temperature, humidity, pressure, rainfall, and wind patterns while also offering cultural and architectural value with its colonial-era design and historical records.
