Mt. Koubru, also known as Koubru Hill, is one of Manipur’s most sacred and scenic mountain destinations, located in Kangpokpi district in north-western Manipur. Situated about 30 km from Imphal, the hill rises to an elevation of around 3,079 ft (939 m) and is accessible via National Highway-2 (Imphal–Dimapur Road). Mt. Koubru is revered in Meitei mythology as the abode of the ancient deity Koubru, and attracts trekkers, pilgrims, and nature lovers throughout the year. The trek begins near Kanglatongbi and leads through dense forests, freshwater streams, and peaceful viewpoints offering panoramic views of the valley.
