God’s Eye Mountain (also known as Mat Than Mountain) is one of the most unique natural attractions in Cao Bang Province, located in Quoc Toan Commune, Tra Linh District, about 30–50 km from Cao Bang City. Situated within the famous Non Nuoc Cao Bang Global Geopark and the scenic Thang Hen Lake area, the mountain is renowned for a massive circular hole near its peak that resembles a giant “eye,” giving the mountain its distinctive name. Surrounded by lush green meadows, limestone karst landscapes, and interconnected lakes, God’s Eye Mountain offers breathtaking views and a peaceful natural environment ideal for camping, photography, and exploring local culture. The landscape changes beautifully with the seasons—during the rainy season the valley fills with water, creating a lake-like scenery, while in the dry season it transforms into vast grasslands perfect for trekking and outdoor activities.
