Bau Trang, also known as Bau Sen or White Lake, is a stunning natural attraction in Binh Thuan Province, Vietnam, located in Hong Lam Hamlet, Hoa Thang Commune, Bac Binh District, approximately 60–65 km northeast of Phan Thiet city and about 30 km from Mui Ne. This unique landscape is often called the “mini Sahara” due to its vast white sand dunes that stretch across the area, creating dramatic desert‑like scenery beside tranquil freshwater lakes such as Bau Ong and Bau Ba. The name Bau Trang means “white lake,” reflecting the striking contrast of crystal‑clear waters surrounded by light‑colored sand and, in season, vibrant lotus blooms that turn parts of the lake into a picturesque oasis. Visitors can enjoy sandboarding, quad biking, photography, boat rides amid lotus flowers, and breathtaking sunrise or sunset views, making Bau Trang a must‑visit destination for nature lovers, adventure seekers, and photographers traveling through southern Vietnam.
