12Shree Bhadra Maruti Temple is a revered Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman, located in Khuldabad, near Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar (Aurangabad), Maharashtra. This unique temple is one of the few in India where Lord Hanuman is depicted in a reclining posture, symbolizing his deep devotion and surrender to Lord Rama. According to legend, King Bhadrasena, a great devotee of Lord Rama, used to sing hymns in his praise. Pleased by his devotion, Lord Hanuman appeared and took a reclining position, listening to the king’s prayers. This divine event led to the establishment of the Bhadra Maruti Temple, where devotees continue to worship Hanuman in his rare sleeping form. The temple attracts thousands of devotees, especially on Tuesdays and Saturdays, which are considered auspicious days for Hanuman worship. It is also a major pilgrimage site during Hanuman Jayanti and Ram Navami.
