Bidar is a historic city located in the northeastern part of Karnataka, India. It was a significant center during the Bahmani Sultanate and later the Barid Shahi dynasty, leaving behind an impressive legacy of forts, palaces, and mosques. The city is also renowned for its unique Bidriware—a form of metal handicraft that has received Geographical Indication (GI) status.
