Puruhutika Shaktipeeth is a sacred temple located in Pithapuram, Andhra Pradesh, and is one of the Ashta Dasha (18) Shakti Peethas of Goddess Shakti. It is believed that Sati Devi’s left hand fell at this site when Lord Vishnu used his Sudarshana Chakra to cut her body into pieces after her self-immolation at Daksha’s Yagna.
