Yamunotri is a sacred pilgrimage site nestled in the western Garhwal Himalayas of Uttarakhand, India. It stands at an elevation of approximately 3,293 meters (10,804 feet) and marks the origin of the River Yamuna, which is considered one of the holiest rivers in Hinduism. Yamunotri is also the first stop in the revered Char Dham Yatra of Uttarakhand.
